Responsibilities Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently - no touch freight Drive various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and dry van. Plan optimal routes, monitor delivery schedules, and adapt to route changes for timely deliveries. Transport freight across long distances while maintaining safety standards; deliver freight to designated locations with precision and professionalism. Ensure all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain electronic logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, inspection reports, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), minimum of 6-months verifiable experience. Experience operating different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, dry van trailers, or flatbeds. Familiarity with route planning for efficient delivery scheduling across OTR routes. Prior delivery driving experience involving freight handling and route driving responsibilities. Strong understanding of cargo handling processes to ensure cargo integrity during transit.
