Position Summary The Class A CDL Route Driver plays a critical role in safely transporting organic materials throughout a designated regional service area. Drivers operate Class A commercial vehicles while servicing customer locations, collecting food waste, transporting totes, and ensuring all routes are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulations and Denali safety standards. Drivers are responsible for maintaining equipment, completing required documentation, and building strong customer relationships while operating in various weather conditions and challenging work environments. This is a Safety-Sensitive Position requiring sound judgment, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the safety of yourself, your coworkers, our customers, and the motoring public. Schedule Regional routes assigned by management Average of 45–50 hours per week Flexible schedule based on operational needs and seasonal demands Occasional weekends and overtime as required Home daily or overnight routes depending on business needs Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate Class A CDL tractor-trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. Operate both manual and automatic transmission commercial vehicles. Haul organic materials using 30–45-foot open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles. Safely collect, transport, and unload food waste and customer materials. Lift, move, and maneuver totes weighing up to 75 pounds throughout the workday. Perform complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Crawl underneath trucks and trailers to inspect slack adjusters, brake components, air lines, suspension, and other DOT-required equipment. Maintain trucks, trailers, and assigned equipment in clean, safe operating condition. Perform minor repairs using basic hand tools when appropriate. Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and maintain accurate DOT logs. Complete contamination reports, service tickets, DVIRs, maintenance records, and other required documentation.
