Position Summary Red Baron Transportation is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our Fort Wayne, Indiana team. This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight between designated locations while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A CDL automatic day cab. Transport freight between designated customer and company locations. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate logs, trip reports, and required transportation documentation. Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and related transportation technology. Ensure freight is properly secured and transported safely. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations personnel. Report maintenance concerns, accidents, incidents, or safety hazards immediately. Maintain compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company policies. Keep equipment clean, organized, and professionally maintained. Provide excellent customer service while representing Red Baron Transportation and BWT Logistics. Qualifications Required Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). Minimum of three (3) years of Class A driving experience. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Current DOT Medical Card. Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. Experience operating Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs). Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules. Strong communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Local delivery experience. Experience operating automatic day cab equipment. Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge. Transportation, logistics, or warehouse industry experience. Safety vest required. Additional PPE provided by BWT Logistics and must be worn as required by site or customer policies. Compensation and Benefits $24.00 - $26.00 per hour Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 days. Time Off: Paid holidays and PTO available after 90 days.
