Class A Port Driver — Local, Day or Night Shift
United Logistic Services Group, Inc.Location: Rancho Dominguez , CA Employment: Full-Time W-2 Schedule: Monday–Friday Day Shift: Starting at $29/hour Night Shift: Starting at $31/hour We are a trucking company serving the Los Angeles and Long Beach port areas. We are looking for safe, responsible, and dependable Class A CDL drivers to join our team. Most work is local, transporting 20- and 40-foot containers to and from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Drivers may also make deliveries to surrounding areas, including locations throughout the Inland Empire. Pay & Schedule Day Shift: Starting at $29/hour with start time between 4am-8am Night Shift: Starting at $31/hour with start time around 4pm-5pm Full-time, Monday–Friday and Home Daily Home Daily What We Offer Medical insurance plans Dental and vision plans 401(k) plans Holiday pay available for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day Hazmat move bonus for qualifying completed Hazmat Class 1-8 moves Job Responsibilities Safely transport 20- and 40-foot containers to and from the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports Perform drop-and-hook moves and live unloads Communicate promptly and professionally with dispatch and safety teams Complete required paperwork and documentation Perform inspections of trucks, containers, and chassis Identify and report unsafe equipment or conditions Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and port requirements Safely connect and disconnect trailers and chassis and secure equipment as required Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods Ability to safely enter and exit the truck and equipment Ability to hook and unhook trailers/chassis Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment as required for the job Ability to safely perform required inspections and equipment-related tasks Requirements Class A Licensed with 2 years + of verifiable experience TWIC card with Prior port/drayage driving experience in the Los Angeles/Long Beach port area Hazmat endorsement: Preferred Safe driving record Ability to pass required background and DOT drug and alcohol testing Ability to communicate in English sufficiently to safely perform the job, communicate with dispatch and port personnel, understand required documentation, and follow safety instructions Start time based on appointment times and subject to change.
