to expand our fleet and services, we are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Class A Lowboy Driver to join our team.
Job Description: We are looking for a Class A Lowboy/Tanker Driver to transport heavy equipment and machinery safely and efficiently to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating lowboy trailers and a strong commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate lowboy trailers and tanker trucks to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and other oversized loads to designated locations, including job sites and customer facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of lowboy trailers and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Secure cargo using appropriate tie-downs, chains, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and machinery using ramps, winches, and other specialized equipment, always following established safety protocols.
• Monitor vehicle performance and cargo integrity during transport, taking appropriate action to address any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation of oversized loads.
• Complete and maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, cargo deliveries, and other relevant information.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service skills when interacting with customers and representing the company.
Requirements:
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Valid and up-to-date Medical Certification in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Candidates must be willing to undergo testing as required.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations governing commercial driving practices
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Class A Lowboy Driver.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations governing the transportation of oversized loads.
• Experience operating lowboy trailers and transporting heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver lowboy trailers in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
