Class A Local Driver

Job description: ACT 2 Services provides PU&D and linehaul service for the west coast. Through our asset-based operations and solution-oriented service, we can offer custom logistics for each customer. Providing this flexibility drives value to their supply chain. Our current success has come organically over several decades. We began our company in 1985 when our two company founders purchased a location based at LAX. Within just a couple years our company became the premier road feeder service to the air cargo industry between DFW, ELP, IAH, LAX, SFO, PDX, SEA, YVR, LRD, MFE and SLC. Job Summary: We are seeking a Full-Time Class A Local LAX Driver to join our team. Shift: 3:00 PM start, Thursday through Sunday Position Type: Full-Time Pay: $30 Minimum Requirements: · Applicants must be at least 23 years of age with at least 2 years verifiable Class A tractor pulling 53' trailer driving experience. · HAZ MAT endorsement license preferred and a current Medical Certificate. · Clean MVR (no more than two traffic violation convictions, and one preventable accident within the past 3 years). · Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. · Must be legally eligible for employment. · Able to lift 50 lbs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Pickup and delivery of shipments for our customers located throughout LAX. · Professional and courteous, friendly service oriented. · Comply with all DOT and CHP regulations. · Follow pre-trip, in route, and post trip equipment inspections. · Follow company procedures for documentation/signatures for shipments. · Follow all company safety policies and TSA security requirements. · Communicate with dispatch all delays, traffic and mechanical issues. · Promptly report all accidents/incidents involving company equipment to management. · Keep tractor clean and fueled up. · Perform other duties as required and work overtime as assigned.
