Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A Licensed Truck Driver working in partnership with Amazon. In this role, you will be a contractor with freedom to choose your own work days*. Driver will be paid $2100/Week assuming they work three (3) Drop-and-Hook blocks ($700 per block)., each block is 37 hours that include paid 10 hours FMCSA mandatory rest/sleep time. Our drivers typically get to be home at least three days a week. You will be responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your shift will start and end in the same city. Our trucks are modern and well maintained ensuring safety and smooth operation. * You may choose your days-off as long as you provide Seven (7) days advance notice allowing us ample time to make arrangements for booked loads. Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial truck across multiple locations (within same region) weekly. "Drop and Hook" trailers from and to Amazon facilities. Navigate routes efficiently using Amazon-provided navigation systems to meet delivery schedules. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in accordance with regulatory requirements. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or route changes. Transport vehicle to and from preventive maintenance shop (You will be compensated for your time , miles driven and über ride if necessary). Experience Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Two (2) years' experience is mandatory due to Insurance policy requirements. Applicant must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Applicant must be lawfully present (and permitted to work) in the United States. Experience handling logistics cargo and performing manual handling tasks safely. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT rules. Strong understanding of truck driving safety procedures and compliance requirements under federal and state laws. Important note from previous experiences (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY). Please do not waste your time and ours. Our insurance provider is very strict and rightfully so. Our hiring process is meticulous. We are looking for good drivers to continue providing excellent service to our customers. "Good driving record" means; Good driving record! Having an accident within past three years or "Abandoning semi-truck on highway" does NOT qualify as "good driving record."
