Job Summary As a Class A Flatbed Driver, you’ll transport freight on assigned routes, secure loads, and complete deliveries safely and reliably. Your impact: Careful load securement and on-time delivery help customers receive freight safely and keep supply chains moving. Duties Drive a tractor-trailer on local routes and over-the-road (OTR) routes, using GPS navigation to follow assigned directions. Load, unload, and secure flatbed freight; handle cargo manually when needed and follow safe lifting practices. Complete delivery driving tasks, inspect equipment, and report vehicle or cargo concerns. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements. Transport freight that may include automobile transportation; refrigerated trailer, tanker, or other equipment experience may be useful depending on assignments. Skills Required: Valid Class A commercial driver’s license and experience with commercial truck driving, truck driving, commercial driving, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, manual transmissions, and delivery driving. Required: Safe driving practices, route driving, logistics cargo handling, and the ability to load and unload freight. Preferred: Delivery driver experience, OTR driving routes, and experience with refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, or tanker equipment. Knowledge of Hazmat (hazardous materials) handling, dangerous goods, and applicable hazardous materials regulations is preferred.
