Class A Dump Truck Driver
Astro Paving Inc.Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Class A Dump Truck Driver to join our asphalt paving crew. In this role, you will operate a 10 wheel dump truck with a manual 10 speed transmission to transport asphalt materials and debris as well as hauling our equipment to job sites, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Must have a clean DMV driving record and be able to pass drug test. Job requires working locally and out of town/overnight at times. Duties Safely operate Class A dump trucks, flatbed trailer, and tankers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Transport asphalt, dirt, and debris, haul equipment on flat bed trailer, and tanker loads while maintaining safety standards Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record Proven experience in commercial truck driving and dump trucks Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading procedures Ability to navigate using GPS systems accurately while managing over-the-road (OTR) routes efficiently Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards Commitment to safe driving practices Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week Work Location: In person
