POSITION OVERVIEW We are currently seeking Local Class A Tractor Trailer Drivers to join our team. The Class A Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading goods from our warehouse or client facilities into/off the truck and safely transporting the load. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Job duties would include working the dock, late local P&D work, and extra regional shuttles. We offer positions and lanes available on the local LTL, Port (TWIC required) short linehaul and OTR Inquire for details. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Drive routes, utilizing GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across designated territories. Transport freight while maintaining compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques and proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity during transit and at delivery points. Deliver freight to customers’ locations, providing excellent delivery driving service while managing route driving challenges effectively. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and cargo handling activities in compliance with safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before operating the vehicle. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with Class A license credentials. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials (Hazmat) handling, and hazardous goods transportation standards. Strong skills in manual handling and truck loading/unloading procedures for logistics cargo handling. Ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently Experience in truck driving involving manual transmission vehicles and tractor-trailers. Excellent safety awareness with a focus on complying with all transportation safety regulations including load securement and vehicle inspection protocols.
