Pay: $30.00–$33.50/hour, depending on experience Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, Day Shift Full-Time | Local Bay Area Routes 53' Tractor-Trailer Operation 2+ Years Class A Experience Required Hazmat Endorsement Preferred California Sierra Express is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Driver for our Hayward operation. This is a full-time day-shift position performing time-sensitive pickups and deliveries throughout the greater Bay Area. Drivers operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment and work closely with our operations team to safely and professionally move freight for domestic and international freight-forwarding customers. This schedule provides a consistent Sunday-through-Thursday workweek with Friday and Saturday off . Routes can vary based on freight volume and customer needs and may require approximately 10–12 hours to complete. What We Offer $30.00–$33.50/hour, DOE Consistent Sunday–Thursday day schedule Friday and Saturday off Local Bay Area routes Paid training Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Company-leased equipment Stable company with more than 35 years in airfreight transportation What You’ll Do Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment on assigned routes Complete time-sensitive pickups and deliveries Load, unload, and secure freight as required Verify and report freight dimensions and weights Complete vehicle inspections, manifests, and required driver documentation Provide professional service at customer and freight facilities Follow company safety policies and applicable DOT, FMCSA, TSA, and OSHA requirements Maintain dependable and consistent attendance Qualifications Valid Class A CDL Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience Experience operating 53' tractor-trailers Safe driving record Ability to work a consistent Sunday–Thursday day schedule Ability to safely handle freight when required Hazmat endorsement preferred Ability to meet DOT, FMCSA, TSA, company, insurance, background-screening, and drug-testing requirements About California Sierra Express California Sierra Express has served the airfreight logistics industry for more than 35 years.
