Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Class A Company Driver specializing in dedicated port drayage operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight between ports, warehouses, and distribution centers using tractor-trailers equipped for various cargo types. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. A TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) is required to access secure port facilities, making your role crucial to maintaining smooth port logistics operations. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes within port and logistics environments Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries across routes Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and other applicable safety standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records following regulatory requirements Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) for port access One year minimum of verifiable experience in commercial truck driving and combination units, including delivery driving and route navigation Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safe load & unload procedures Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and utilize GPS navigation systems effectively Experience with logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading processes, and freight management Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking, manual handling, and goods transportation We are looking for a professional driver who values safety, reliability, consistency, and being home every day .
