Duties Safely operate Class A commercial trucks with tanker endorsements on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight carriers across assigned routes Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring proper cargo securing and compliance with hazardous materials regulations for dangerous goods Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes, maintain delivery schedules, and ensure timely arrivals at customer locations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip Load, unload, and secure logistics cargo with precision, managing hazardous materials or hazardous goods safely in accordance with all safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, pickups, logs, incident reports, and compliance records in line with FMCSA regulations Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement; additional endorsements such as Hazmat are a plus Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers and tanker trucks Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or other specialized freight equipment is preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety procedures for dangerous goods handling Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles comfortably and safely over long distances on OTR routes Strong skills in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips Experience in truck loading/unloading processes including freight handling and logistics cargo management Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance; previous delivery driver experience highly valued Physical ability to manually handle cargo when necessary; forklift certification is advantageous but not required Embark on a rewarding journey where your driving skills make a difference!
