Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Vac Truck / Rolloff Truck Driver and become a vital part of our solid waste management operations! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized commercial trucks to efficiently collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Your expertise in heavy-duty driving combined with excellent customer service will help keep our communities clean and safe. Duties Safely operate Class A CDL equipped vac trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and rear loader trucks to collect and transport waste materials across designated routes. Load, unload, and secure waste loads in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure mechanical integrity, including checking air brakes, hydraulic systems, and load security. Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and hazardous materials regulations during route driving to ensure safe delivery and collection. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including route completion times, load weights, and vehicle inspections. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and address any route issues promptly. Adhere strictly to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting tasks and operating heavy machinery such as front-end loaders when necessary. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement. Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as vac trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Solid understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and municipal waste management procedures. Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting of truck systems and performing routine maintenance checks. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and defensive driving techniques. Outdoor work experience preferred; ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members. Knowledge of route driving best practices for efficient load & unload operations within solid waste management services.
