Responsibilities
• Operate CDL A trucks safely to transport high-value IT equipment and technology hardware between Suit Transportation facilities and client data centers.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
• Secure, load, and unload technology equipment, ensuring that sensitive assets are handled properly to avoid damage.
• Comply with all DOT regulations, safety guidelines, and company transportation protocols.
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and electronic documentation.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams effectively to confirm delivery schedules and resolve issues as they arise.
• Follow strict security protocols for the transport of high-value technology items and access to restricted facilities.
• Contribute to the enhancement of transportation routes, practices, and safety procedures.
• Represent Suit Transportation with professionalism and excellent customer service on every route.
Required Skills
• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Experience in long-haul and regional driving.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Experience in freight securement and load balancing.
• Ability to handle sensitive and high-value equipment safely.
• Strong route planning and time management skills.
• Commitment to defensive driving and safety practices.
• Basic knowledge in documentation and delivery recordkeeping.
