Class A CDL Truck Driver – Regional/OTR – Consistent Miles

Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on regional and OTR routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Manage the loading and unloading of freight, including logistics cargo handling for diverse cargo types such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, refrigerated freight, flatbeds, and tankers. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across assigned routes. Transport various types of freight including automobile transportation, hazardous materials, and general freight while maintaining compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Load and unload cargo manually or with appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling of freight to prevent damage or accidents. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shift reports, incident reports, and inbound/outbound documentation for all shipments. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route status, delivery updates, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for regional or OTR routes. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment such as Hazmat-certified trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is preferred. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning. Experience in truck loading/unloading processes including freight handling for various cargo types such as dangerous goods or refrigerated items.
