Class A CDL Truck Driver – Logging Operations Southern Streamline LLC Location : Heath Springs, South Carolina Job Overview Southern Streamline LLC is seeking dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join our logging transportation team. Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting logs and timber from designated loading sites to mills and other delivery locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, understands commercial driving safety requirements, and can operate heavy-duty trucks in logging environments while meeting delivery schedules. Job Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers to transport logs and timber to designated destinations. Secure loads properly and ensure logs are transported in compliance with applicable weight limits and cargo securement regulations. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure trucks and equipment are in safe operating condition. Follow all federal and state transportation laws, hours-of-service requirements, and company safety policies. Coordinate with dispatchers, logging crews, and delivery facilities regarding routes, schedules, loading, and unloading. Navigate logging roads, job sites, mills, and other work areas while maintaining safe driving practices. Complete delivery paperwork, daily inspection reports, mileage records, and other required documentation accurately. Monitor truck performance and promptly report mechanical problems, equipment damage, or safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized truck and demonstrate professionalism when representing Southern Streamline LLC. Follow proper procedures when loading, transporting, and unloading timber, as required by the job. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A). Previous experience operating tractor-trailers or commercial heavy-duty trucks preferred; logging or timber-hauling experience is a plus. Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, load securement, and vehicle inspection procedures. Ability to safely maneuver trucks and trailers on highways, rural roads, and logging job sites. Strong awareness of road conditions, vehicle weight limits, and cargo safety. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following dispatch instructions. Ability to complete required paperwork and communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members. Willingness to comply with applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements and company safety policies. Ability to meet the physical and operational demands of logging transportation work.
