We currently have four dedicated local positions open, and these opportunities are filling quickly. Here are the details:
• Thursday-Sunday USPS Route
• Thu-Sat: 00:00 arrival at first USPS stop – 06:45 (paid 9 hours @ $28.27/hr)
• Sun: 21:40 - 05:00 (paid 8.5 hours @ $28.27/hr)
• Optional additional local work available on off days
Estimated Weekly Gross: ~$1,004 to $1,344
• Monday-Friday USPS Afternoon Route
• Shift Time: 14:15 - 20:00 (M-F) - paid 7.25 hrs/day @ $28.27/hr
• Optional local freight pickups available prior to USPS shift
Estimated Weekly Gross: ~$1,025 to $1,369
• USPS Mail + South Bend / Mishawaka Shuttle
• USPS Mail Route (M-Sat): 04:15 - 07:00 - paid 3.75 hrs/day @ $28.27/hr
• Shuttle Portion (M-F): Preloaded trailer runs to South Bend Mishawaka
• Flat shuttle pay of $212.03 per run (M-F)
Estimated Weekly Gross: ~$1,696 to $1,817
• Local Power-Only Shuttle (Dedicated Account)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, customer dispatched
• Guaranteed base pay of $1,300/week year-round
• Opportunities for additional local freight pickups
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,300 to $1,600
What is 'Cash in Lieu of Benefits'?
Cash in Lieu of Benefits is a USPS contract benefit where drivers who decline RTS health insurance receive an additional $5.36/hr on the first 40 USPS hours per week. This is a substantial financial benefit for those already covered by other sources.
Expectations for USPS Routes:
For USPS contracts, consistency and on-time performance are critical. We are looking for drivers who:
• Run on schedule, every shift
• Communicate immediately about potential delays
• Represent RTS professionally at every facility
• Follow USPS and safety protocols
• Protect chain of custody
• Perform load/unload procedures accurately
Position Overview:
Dedicated local routes with predictable, consistent schedules, offering full-time stability and growth opportunities.
Requirements:
• CDL Class A
• Minimum 2 years of recent driving experience
• Clean MVR & PSP
• Ability to pass DOT and USPS background checks
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with mobile devices
