Class A CDL Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver for a temporary coverage position with our small, family-owned trucking operation based in El Paso, TX. The driver will be responsible for operating a semi-truck hauling a refrigerated trailer (reefer).Because this is a family operation, we offer a respectful, direct working relationship and flexible runs based on availability. Minimum Requirements (Strictly Required for Insurance Approval): License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience (No exceptions due to commercial insurance policy guidelines). Equipment Knowledge: Prior experience operating and monitoring refrigerated trailers (reefers). Documents: Up-to-date Medical Card and a clean/acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) ready for insurance screening. Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate a semi-truck and reefer trailer on designated routes. Monitor, set, and log the correct reefer temperatures throughout the trip to protect the cargo. Maintain accurate hours-of-service logs and fully comply with all DOT regulations. Conduct proper pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Compensation & Schedule: Pay: Competitive pay to be discussed directly during the phone interview. Schedule: Flexible, as-available runs. Pay: $0.55 - $0.60 per mile Work Location: On the road
