What You’ll Do: Transport Regional Freight: Safely haul Amazon loads across dedicated regional routes originating out of the Shakopee / Midwest hub. Operate Modern Equipment: Drive brand-new automatic sleeper tractors pulling 53-foot dry-van trailers. Perform Inspections & Couplings: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIR), couple, uncouple, back, and dock 53-foot trailers safely. Maintain Digital Logs: Keep accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records, navigate using GPS, and follow DOT, Amazon, and Dinomyte safety protocols. Drive Safely in All Seasons: Safely navigate changing Midwest weather conditions (winter driving/tire chain training provided). Qualifications & Requirements: Age & License: Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) . Safety & Driving Record: Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no current CDL suspension or revocation. Health & Screening: Must pass a DOT physical, pre-employment background check, and DOT drug screen. Physical & Operations: Comfortable operating a tractor with a 53-foot trailer and resting in sleeper cabs during 5-day regional runs. Available for overnight driving and weekend home-time schedules. Able to use ELD systems, GPS, and smartphone logistics applications. Fluent in English as required by DOT regulations. Willing to receive winter driving/tire chain training and use chains when required. Note: Tractors are equipped with event-based driver-facing safety cameras.
