Arms LogisticsJob Summary We are seeking energetic and reliable Class A CDL port and drayage drivers to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight between ports, distribution centers, and various delivery points, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with a strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and safety regulations, will help us maintain our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers equipped with refrigerated, flatbed, or tanker trailers to move freight within port facilities and over the road routes Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries across OTR (Over the Road) routes Load and unload freight safely, adhering to truck loading and unloading protocols while managing hazardous materials regulations when applicable Maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations Handle automobile transportation tasks, including securing vehicles for transport when required Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure safety and compliance Document all deliveries accurately, including logs of hours of service, cargo details, and route information Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license Prior delivery driving experience with a focus on freight handling in port or drayage environments Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures and truck loading/unloading techniques Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods Experience driving manual transmission trucks is preferred but not mandatory Ability to operate GPS navigation systems efficiently during route driving Strong understanding of over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and delivery schedules Join us if you’re ready to drive your career forward with a company that values safety, professionalism, and outstanding service.
