Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Oil Field Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that keeps the energy industry moving forward! In this position, you will operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers and specialized equipment to transport essential freight across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials to oil field sites and distribution centers. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle complex logistics will be vital in maintaining our commitment to operational excellence. Duties Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Transport freight such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and other specialized cargo across long-distance routes while complying with hazardous materials regulations. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes for over-the-road driving routes and ensure timely deliveries. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement according to logistics cargo handling standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations. Load & unload freight at various locations, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or hazardous cargo while adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to truck loading/unloading, hazardous materials handling, and manual handling procedures. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license. Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Prior experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or similar specialized equipment preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Delivery driver experience involving freight transportation in oil field or industrial settings is highly desirable. Ability to handle manual tasks involved in loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for various types of freight including hazardous or dangerous goods.
