Class A CDL National Relief Driver
Red Stag LLCJob Description: As a National Relief Driver, you will provide critical driving support across Red Stag operations throughout the United States. Assignments may include covering driver vacations and vacancies, supporting new business, assisting during staffing shortages, and providing temporary capacity where needed. Depending on the assignment, you may perform farm pickups, assemble milk loads, transport bulk liquid dairy products and other authorized loads, complete drop-and-hook operations, and support multiple locations during a single rotation. This position is ideal for an experienced tanker driver who is flexible, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in different locations and environments. Compensation This is a salaried driving positionthat provides consistent compensation while traveling to support Red Stag operations nationwide. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles and tanker equipment on assigned routes, including rural and mountainous roads when required. Pick up and transport bulk liquid dairy products and other authorized loads. Assemble milk loads through farm pickups and perform loading and unloading duties as required. Complete drop-and-hook operations at assigned locations. Perform required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Inspect tanker equipment, including ladders, seals, hoses, and related equipment. Maintain accurate ELD, hours-of-service, bills of lading, delivery, inspection, and other required documentation. Follow all DOT, FMCSA, state, Company, customer, food-safety, sanitation, and milk-handling requirements. Communicate professionally with dispatch, management, customers, farms, and processing facilities. Adapt to changing routes, equipment, schedules, locations, and operational needs. Complete required Company and site-specific training. Job Requirements: Must be at least 23 years old. Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement. Minimum 2 years of Class A commercial driving experience. At least 1 year of liquid tanker experience preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Must be qualified for interstate operation. No automatic transmission restriction. Must maintain DOT medical qualification when required. Must meet Company and insurance driving-record standards. No DWI/DUI conviction within the past 5 years. Experience using ELDs and understanding applicable Hours-of-Service requirements. Strong communication, navigation, time-management, and decision-making skills. Must be comfortable working independently and traveling extensively. Ability to obtain required state milk-handler licenses and other necessary permits or certifications. Physical & Work Requirements This is an active driving position that includes prolonged periods of driving, frequent entry and exit from trucks, climbing tanker and equipment ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Drivers must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift or move approximately 50-75 pounds, and exert up to approximately 80 pounds of pulling forcewhen operating fifth-wheel or kingpin release handles during drop-and-hook operations.
