Class A CDL Local Driver - Home Daily
Als Logistics- Safely and efficiently operate yard trucks and other heavy equipment to move trailers and freight within a local route - Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance - Transport trailers to and from loading docks, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up - Maneuver trailers in tight spaces, including backing up and making sharp turns - Secure trailers using appropriate methods, such as chocking wheels and connecting air lines - Communicate with company and customer personnel to coordinate trailer movements and prioritize tasks - Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, including trailer numbers, load information, and departure times ```Qualifications``` - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record - Experience operating refrigerated trailers, tractor-trailers, or heavy equipment preferred - Knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures - Ability to safely operate roll-off trucks is a plus - Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with company and customer personnel - Basic automotive repair knowledge for minor maintenance tasks Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
