SoGone EmpireJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Flatbed Driver and take charge of delivering freight LOCAL with confidence and professionalism. In this role, you will operate flatbed trucks equipped for hauling various types of freight, including heavy equipment, building materials, and hazardous goods, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Duties Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with flatbed configurations across designated routes, including Local driving routes. Pre- loaded Flatbed Trailers Drop and Hook. Starting from Buchanan, Ga or Conley, GA 6am. 2 to 3 Loads a Day Monday thru Friday ( Must work one Saturday A Month). Handle freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly on flatbeds for safe transit. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Transport various freight types such as refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker loads, and general freight while adhering to hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicle maintenance needs. Load and unload cargo at delivery points, ensuring proper handling of dangerous goods and logistics cargo handling procedures. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, provide updates on route progress, and resolve any issues promptly. Experienced Flatbed Drivers Only. Call Or Text 470-656-8593 Experience Proven experience operating Class A commercial trucks, especially flatbed trailers or similar configurations. Demonstrated knowledge of trucking safety regulations including FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials handling requirements. Experience with route driving in diverse environments such as regional or OTR routes involving long-distance travel. Skilled in truck loading and unloading techniques for freight including freight that requires special handling like tanker or hazardous goods. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries. Prior delivery driver experience involving freight transportation using manual transmission trucks preferred. Ability to handle manual loading equipment safely while managing logistics cargo handling responsibilities efficiently.
