Class A CDL Driver, Truck Driver

Description: Prime Building Materials is a family-owned building supply yard in North Hollywood. We have been in business since 1995. We deliver pavers, block, stone, sand and gravel to job sites across Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. We are hiring a Class A driver to join our delivery team. This is local work. You start and end your day at our yard on Lankershim Blvd. No overnight routes. No long haul. Home every night. What you will do: Run local deliveries of pallets and bulk materials to contractor job sites and homes across LA County. Drive a flatbed with a Moffett (piggyback) forklift and a dump or transfer truck for sand, gravel and DG loads. Load, secure and unload your own loads safely. Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your truck clean. Represent Prime at the job site. Our drivers are often the only Prime employee a contractor sees. What you need: Valid California Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Current DOT medical card. Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Experience delivering building materials, landscape materials or similar (flatbed, Moffett, dump or transfer). Able to lift 50 lbs, strap loads and work outdoors in LA weather. Reliable. Our customers plan their crews around your arrival. Nice to have: Moffett or piggyback forklift experience. Transfer or dump experience. Knowledge of LA and Valley job site access. Spanish a plus.
