Class A CDL Driver – Trailer Operations Veruca | San Marcos, CA $30–$35/hour | Full-Time | 36 hours/week Veruca is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our growing operations team. You’ll be responsible for moving our fleet of 35-foot mobile grocery trailers between our San Marcos warehouse and locations throughout the area. When you’re not on the road, you’ll help with trailer restocking, inspections, loading/unloading, and general fleet operations. This is a full-time position with a consistent 6-day schedule, approximately 6 hours per day (36 hours/week). The schedule includes early mornings and evenings, so reliability and flexibility are important. What you'll do Trailer Transportation Safely tow Veruca's 35-foot mobile grocery trailers using a full-size pickup truck. Pick up and deliver trailers between our San Marcos warehouse and designated locations. Complete multiple trailer movements during each shift. Perform morning trailer deployments and evening trailer pickups. Safely position trailers at their designated locations. Complete required vehicle and trailer inspections before and after transport. Communicate with the operations team regarding trailer movements, delays, or issues. Fleet & Warehouse Operations When you're not actively driving, you'll help keep our trailers and warehouse running smoothly: Restock trailers with inventory and supplies. Load and unload trailers. Inspect trailers for cleanliness, organization, and general condition. Check trailer equipment and report any issues. Assist with warehouse organization and daily operational tasks. Help prepare trailers for their next deployment. Perform other tasks needed to support Veruca's growing mobile grocery fleet. Schedule Full-time: approximately 36 hours/week The position will work 6 days per week, approximately 6 hours per day. Schedules will include a combination of morning and evening shifts based on operational needs. Morning: approximately 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM Evening: approximately 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM Some days may have a heavier focus on driving, while others may include more warehouse and trailer operations. What we're looking for Valid California Class A CDL required. Clean driving record. Experience towing large trailers. Commercial driving, transportation, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred. Comfortable operating a full-size pickup truck with a 35-foot trailer. Reliable and punctual — our trailers need to be where they're supposed to be, when they're supposed to be there. Comfortable working independently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds . Willingness to help with warehouse and fleet operations when not driving.
