Class A CDL Driver - Structural Steel Delivery

We take pride in our workmanship, dependable service, and commitment to safety. We are seeking a reliable, experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. Position Overview The primary responsibility of this position is transporting structural steel and fabricated materials from our fabrication facilities to construction sites. When deliveries are not scheduled, the driver will assist with loading, unloading, material handling, painting, and general shop and yard operations. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, operates equipment safely, and is willing to contribute wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver structural steel and fabricated materials. Properly load, strap, secure, and unload steel materials. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures. Coordinate deliveries with shop personnel and field crews. Assist with material staging, loading, and organizing the yard. Help with painting and general shop activities when deliveries are not scheduled. Maintain equipment and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Represent Weibee Steel professionally at construction sites and customer locations. Required Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) . Acceptable driving record. Ability to meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements. Knowledge of proper cargo securement practices. Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong commitment to safety and equipment care. Willingness to assist with shop and yard operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience hauling structural steel or construction materials. Flatbed trucking and load securement experience. Forklift operating experience. Experience with oversized or overweight loads. Familiarity with construction site delivery procedures. Compensation & Opportunities Starting Pay: $24.00–$26.00 per hour Starting compensation will depend on relevant experience, driving qualifications, and demonstrated capabilities.
