We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team for over-the-road (OTR) routes. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in handling dry freight and various types of freight will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to travel nationwide, deliver essential goods, and be part of a dedicated logistics team committed to excellence. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on OTR routes, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump trucks, while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency and ensure timely arrivals at multiple destinations. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods. Transport a variety of cargo such as refrigerated goods, automobile transportation units, or other freight requiring specialized handling. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load securement, brake systems, lights, and tires. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance with all safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently across long-distance routes. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery scheduling. Experience handling various types of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials. Proficient in manual handling techniques for loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
