Class A CDL Driver Local

Job Overview As a Local Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably on local routes. You’ll operate a tractor-trailer, plan trips with GPS navigation, and handle cargo with care. Assignments may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, automobile transportation, or over-the-road (OTR) routes as business needs require. This is a paid position. Duties Drive commercial trucks on local delivery and route-driving assignments; follow dispatch instructions and use GPS navigation to plan and adjust routes. Inspect and operate tractor-trailers, including vehicles with manual transmissions, and report equipment or cargo concerns promptly. Load, unload, and secure freight using safe manual-handling practices; coordinate logistics cargo handling and verify deliveries. Transport automobile shipments and, when assigned, operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including hazardous materials rules when transporting hazmat or other dangerous goods. Requirements Valid Class A CDL and ability to meet applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements. Commercial truck driving, commercial driving, truck driving, or delivery driver experience; local delivery driving experience is preferred. Demonstrated safe driving, route driving, and manual-transmission skills. Ability to load and unload freight and perform manual handling safely. Hazmat qualifications and experience with refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, OTR routes, flatbed, or tanker work are preferred when relevant to assigned routes. 2 years of class A CDL driving experience required Position is 1099 only M-F with weekends off Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,200.00 per week Work Location: In person
