Class A CDL Driver – Regional Car Hauler | Home Weekends Bighorn Hauling, LLC | Humble, TX Job Type: Full-Time Location: Humble, TX – Regional Routes Throughout Texas Pay: 22%–25% of Truck Gross Revenue, Based on Experience Estimated Weekly Earnings: $1,320–$2,000, depending on loads and revenue. Pay Schedule: Every Two Weeks About the Position Bighorn Hauling, LLC is seeking a reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Class A CDL driver to operate a Ram 5500 with a 53-foot, 3/4-car hauling trailer, transporting vehicles throughout Texas. This is a regional position with home time every weekend and occasional opportunities to be home during the week depending on load schedules. We are a small trucking company looking for a dependable driver who takes pride in their work, follows DOT regulations, and treats company equipment and customers' vehicles with care. Previous car-hauling experience is preferred but NOT required. We are willing to train the right individual. However, applicants MUST already know how to drive manual-transmission vehicles confidently and safely. Our truck is based in Humble, TX. Applicants living in Humble, Houston, or surrounding areas are preferred. Compensation & Schedule 22%–25% of truck gross revenue, based on experience. Estimated earnings of $1,320–$2,000 per week, depending on loads and revenue. Paid biweekly. Home every weekend. Occasionally home during the week depending on loads. Regional transportation throughout Texas. Job Responsibilities Safely operate a Ram 5500 with a 53-foot car-hauling trailer. Load, secure, transport, and unload customer vehicles. Safely operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles when loading and unloading. Properly inspect vehicles and document existing damage before transportation. Secure vehicles using appropriate straps and tie-down equipment. Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Properly operate and maintain accurate records using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD). Follow all applicable DOT/FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, including driving limits, required breaks, and rest periods. Accurately record duty status changes and maintain compliant electronic logs. Plan routes and deliveries according to available legal driving hours. Complete bills of lading, delivery paperwork, and required inspection reports. Communicate professionally regarding pickups, deliveries, scheduling, and delays. Maintain equipment cleanliness and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Handle company equipment and customer vehicles with care. Minimum Driver Requirements All applicants must meet the following insurance and safety requirements: Must be at least 23 years old. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer operating experience. Must meet applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Must understand how to operate an ELD and comply with Hours of Service regulations. Must be able to confidently and safely drive manual-transmission vehicles, including loading and unloading them onto a trailer. No current driver's license suspension or revocation. No serious or disqualifying traffic violations within the past 3 years, including excessive speeding (15 MPH or more above the limit), reckless driving, improper lane changes, following too closely, DUI, or hit-and-run. No more than 4 moving violations within the past 36 months and no more than 2 within the past 12 months. No preventable accidents within the past 3 years involving fatalities, injuries requiring treatment away from the scene, or disabling vehicle damage. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and responsible with equipment. Experience & Training Car-hauling experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right driver.
