Class A CDL Driver - Heavy Equipment Transport

Arrowhead Trucking LLC | Herriman and Salt Lake City, Utah Arrowhead Trucking LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Class A CDL driver to transport construction equipment and attachments throughout Utah using RGN and hydraulic dovetail trailers. We’re looking for a professional who takes pride in their work and understands that safety, punctuality, efficiency, and proper equipment care are essential to every job. Key Responsibilities Safely load, unload, secure, and transport construction equipment and attachments between job sites. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitor load securement, and promptly report damage, mechanical issues, or maintenance needs. Meet scheduled pickup and delivery times and communicate promptly with management and job-site personnel about delays or changes. Operate and care for the assigned truck and trailer responsibly. Follow applicable transportation requirements, safety regulations, and company policies. Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL, current medical card, and a clean driving record. Experience transporting heavy equipment using RGN and hydraulic dovetail trailers. Experience loading, unloading, and properly securing construction equipment. Ability to operate an 18-speed manual transmission. Experience hauling oversized and overweight loads. Strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. Professional Expectations Punctuality and reliability: Arrive at the assigned start time, prepared and ready to work. Maintain dependable attendance and follow through on assignments. Honesty and accountability: Accurately report hours, job progress, delays, and equipment condition. Take responsibility for mistakes and communicate concerns promptly. Professional appearance and conduct: Arrive clean and presentable in appropriate work clothing and required safety gear. Treat customers, coworkers, and job-site crews respectfully. Equipment care and cleanliness: Keep the cab clean, organized, and free of trash. Take care of the truck and trailer and leave them ready for the next shift. Pets are not permitted in company trucks. Safety and efficiency: Plan ahead, stay focused, and use work time productively while maintaining safe driving, loading, and securement practices. Schedule and Travel Full-time, typically 60 hours per week, with hours varying based on workload. Start times vary by scheduled jobs. Trucks are typically expected to be loaded and ready by 7:00 a.m.; assigned start times allow for inspections, loading, and securement. Early starts, long days, weekend work, and overtime are expected as workload requires. Most nights at home, with occasional overnight travel. Trucks are based in Herriman and Salt Lake City. Drivers must be able to report to either location. The primary reporting location will be confirmed before hiring. Pay and Benefits Starting pay of $29 per hour, with higher starting rates considered based on experience and qualifications. $100 monthly cell phone reimbursement. Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Paid pre-hire ride-along assessment as part of the selection process.
