Class A CDL Driver

Job Summary DJB Freight Services is a growing transportation company seeking a reliable and professional Class A CDL Truck Driver for regional interstate freight operations. The position will primarily run Florida-to-Northeast routes , with a focus on markets throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and surrounding states. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, professional, and comfortable operating independently over long-distance regional routes. We are looking for a driver who takes pride in their work, communicates consistently, maintains a strong commitment to safety, and is interested in building a long-term working relationship with a growing company. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers following all FMCSA and DOT regulations. Execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across diverse locations. Transport general freight over long distances on over-the-road (OTR) and regional routes while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Load & unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper truck loading and unloading procedures are followed for freight safety. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or safety concerns. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and freight management. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
