Class A CDL Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and a straight truck to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in commercial driving, coupled with your ability to handle different types of trailers and cargo, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across local or long-haul routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and address any issues that arise during transit. Strap and unstrap your own loads. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with different trailer types Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for commercial vehicles. Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to hours of service, vehicle inspections, and cargo securement.
