Class A CDL Driver

Overview Keep freight moving safely and reliably as a Class A CDL Driver. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, on local delivery and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Assignments may include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation, depending on the load and equipment. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive freight safely and on schedule. Duties Drive assigned routes using GPS navigation and follow delivery instructions. Inspect and operate commercial trucks and trailers; report equipment or cargo concerns. Load, unload, and secure freight using safe manual handling practices and appropriate equipment. Transport general freight and, when assigned and qualified, hazardous materials or dangerous goods in compliance with applicable rules. Complete delivery records and communicate route or shipment updates to dispatch. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and ability to operate a tractor-trailer; manual-transmission experience may be required for assigned equipment. Knowledge of commercial driving, truck driving, route driving, and delivery driving practices; delivery driver experience is preferred. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including hazardous materials requirements when applicable. Able to handle freight and perform truck loading and unloading safely. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed or tanker equipment, automobile transportation, logistics cargo handling, OTR routes, or Hazmat is preferred; role-specific qualifications may apply.
