Class A CDL Driver

WBC Building Components in Columbia Falls is seeking an outgoing person who takes pride in accuracy and excellent customer service. This full-time, all-seasons driving position will give you the opportunity to hone your knowledge of the lumber business while providing our customers with the best customer service in the state! Class A or B CDL with doubles endorsement required, and a clean driving record is a must. Occasional heavy lifting will be required, so applicants should be able to lift 80 pounds. A drug test will be administered prior to employment. PURPOSE Transport goods from the building components plant to customer locations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Transport goods from building components plant to customer locations Perform inspections before and after delivery Unload building materials from trailer to customer facilities Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals. Maintain logs of vehicle repair status Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned COMPETENCIES Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications Good customer service and communications skills Ability to work independently Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Clean driving record; Class A or B CDL with doubles endorsement; a drug test will be administered prior to employment WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY The work environment and physical activity described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
