Class A CDL Driver

Topflight Grain Cooperative is looking to fill a Full-time Class A CDL Driver position at our facilities near Lincoln , IL . Looking to see a different side of driving? Working with Topflight Grain you will be home every night, have great benefits, work predicable hours, drive a company vehicle, and be paid per hour. This position entails the driving of a company tractor/trailer commercial motor vehicle with GVWR of 80,000 pounds in transporting a variety of grain types from Topflight Grain elevators to various locations. Includes vehicle upkeep and basic servicing. Essential Job Functions: Drives tractor-trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver grain to various destinations from various origins as instructed. Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition. Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit. Able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to assist with loading and/or unloading freight, includes occasional climbing. Maintains driver log according to Topflight Grain Cooperative regulations. Comply with company policies and safety procedures. Promote safety among employees and customers. Effective communication among employees and personnel at destination locations. Position Qualifications: Successfully pass a D.O.T. physical and a controlled substance test in accordance with the FMCSR. Must have a clean driving record. Working Environment: Most of the time is spent sitting, driving a grain truck. Exposure to noise from machinery, alarms, and grain trucks. Exposure to a variety of weather situations when loading trucks and constant exposure to grain dust. Exposure to moving, mechanical parts in elevator and on grain trucks.
