Class A CDL Driver – 13-Speed Manual | Local Port Work

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, including refrigerated, hazardous materials, and specialty loads, will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks on local routes routes Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently Home Daily Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit Qualifications Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a minimum of one year of continuous, verifiable experience operating a 13-speed manual transmission tractor-trailer. Non-domiciled CDLs are not accepted. Must have a valid Hazmat endorsement. TWIC Card preferred Tanker Experience Preferred Must have no DOT-recordable or preventable accidents within the past 12 months. No more than one serious driving violation within the past 36 months. No DUI within the past 60 months. Must maintain an overall safe and satisfactory driving record. No felony convictions within the past seven years. Other felony and misdemeanor charges may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Must have no positive drug or alcohol test results. Completion of a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) program does not waive or modify this requirement. Must be proficient in the English language and able to understand traffic signs and signals, communicate with customers, officials, and the general public, respond to inquiries, and complete required reports and documentation.
