Class A Asphalt Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy-duty dump trucks in accordance with DOT regulations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials. This role involves loading and unloading asphalt equipment, pavers, skid steers, and other construction materials, contributing to the smooth execution of construction projects. The driver must demonstrate proficiency in manual transmission operation and adhere to all safety standards. Duties Operate Class A dump trucks in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to transport materials to various job sites. Safely load and unload asphalt equipment, pavers, skid steers, and other construction materials as required. Drive trucks with manual transmission, demonstrating skill and control during operation. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, material deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road. Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transportation. Experience Proven experience operating Class A dump trucks in a construction or similar environment. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation. Experience loading and unloading construction materials such as asphalt equipment, pavers, skid steers, etc. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks proficiently.
