Class 5 Truck Driver

Avion Logistics is looking for a certified class 5 driver with air brakes for its operations and completing local deliveries in timely manner . Must be able to work independently and communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relationships. Duties: - Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods from one location to another - Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as needed - Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately and timely - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report any maintenance needs - Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out - Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or customers during deliveries Requirements: - Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record ( Class 5 - Air Brakes recommended) - Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, warehouse staff, and other drivers - Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus - Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately - Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Education: Secondary School (preferred) Experience: delivery driving: 1 year (preferred) Language: English (preferred) Licence/Certification: Class 5 Licence with Air Brakes (preferred) Work Location: On the road
