Job Summary The Class 5/Class 1 driver transports freight safely and reliably, supporting timely deliveries and smooth day-to-day operations. The role involves vehicle checks, load handling, and coordination with colleagues to keep shipments moving and customers informed. On Call. Could lead to full time Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between designated locations, following assigned routes and delivery schedules. Inspect vehicles before and after trips, report defects, and complete accurate trip and delivery records. Secure and handle loads safely; use a forklift or other heavy equipment when appropriate and authorized. Coordinate with dispatch and receiving teams about delivery progress, delays, and freight requirements. Your impact: dependable deliveries help colleagues plan operations and customers receive freight as expected. Some jobs require lots of in and out of trucks for deliveries and pick ups Experience Required: Practical commercial driving capability, safe freight handling, attention to vehicle condition, and clear communication are important for completing deliveries and coordinating work. Preferred: Experience operating a forklift or heavy equipment, along with automotive repair knowledge, can support efficient load handling and help identify vehicle issues. Must have experience and good knowledge of the city and surrounding areas. Must be able to pass a criminal record check and have a clean driver abstract. Pay: $190.00-$400.00 per day Work Location: On the road
