Class 3 Delivery Driver

Nehring Containers is looking for a Class 3 Driver (Delivery Technician) at our Castlegar, BC facility (4705 14th Ave, Castlegar BC) to start as soon as possible. This is a permanent and full time position (Monday to Friday). With overtime as required. Pay structure will be based off experience as follows : Starting wage $32 - $36 depending on experience. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Class 3 License (Class 1 an asset) Clean driver’s abstract Deck truck experience an asset Forklift Operator (Certificate an asset) Knowledge of safety operations and regulations Able to speak, read, and write English PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely deliver and pick up storage containers up to 40' in length. Primary delivery equipment will be a tandem axle tilt deck truck along with a F450 towing a tandem axle tilt trailer. Safely operates and ensures ongoing maintenance of company vehicles. Operates a forklift/other support equipment at the facility if required. Keeps ELD's accurate and up-to-date. Loads/unloads, secures loads, straps loads as required. Communicates with customers enthusiastically and delivers excellent customer service. Pressure washing, decaling, & repairing storage containers as needed. Maintain the yard in an orderly and effective manner. Setout, move, and stack storage containers. Assist the Operations Manager in any other duties as required.
