Class 1 Truck Driver – Produced Water Hauling 2085057 Alberta Ltd. is hiring experienced Class 1 drivers for dedicated infield produced-water hauling in Smoky Lake, Alberta, with an Edmonton switch yard. We welcome applicants with water-hauling or related oilfield driving experience. Produced-water hauling experience is preferred. Schedule and Working Conditions 14 days on / 7 days off. Early and evening shifts, with assignments switching every two weeks. Start and finish times vary with loads and operational needs. Availability for both shifts is required. Drivers live and sleep in the truck’s sleeper infield for the entire 14-day rotation and must arrive prepared for the full two weeks. Work involves remote bush locations, changing road and weather conditions, and frequent tire chaining. Town is accessible when necessary, but routine trips to town are not part of the work arrangement. This position requires comfort with extended periods away from home, living in a truck, and the hands-on demands of oilfield hauling. Responsibilities and Equipment: Haul produced water within the Smoky Lake operating area. Operate an 18-speed manual truck. Use direct-drive or hydraulic pumping equipment. Experience with both is an asset; willingness to learn both is required. Install tire chains as conditions require. Follow safe work practices and communicate clearly with dispatch and the team. Operate rebuilt, pre-emissions CAT/Cummins trucks. Required Qualifications: Valid Class 1 driver’s licence. Minimum three years of Class 1 driving experience, including water hauling or related oilfield driving. Driver’s abstract with no more than three demerit points. Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certificates at the time of application. Confidence operating an 18-speed manual transmission. Willingness to complete mandatory drug and alcohol testing, including a urine test rather than a swab. Ability to meet the position’s clean-shaven requirement. Reliable transportation. Ability to remain infield for the full rotation and work both early and evening shifts. Training and Orientation WHMIS and TDG training are required. The company pays the course fees, subject to training-cost terms explained during hiring. Drivers must also attend a one-day QUEST safety-program orientation in Lloydminster. Training arrangements, orientation details, and any applicable repayment terms will be reviewed during the phone screening and provided in writing before proceeding. Personal Protective Equipment Drivers must supply steel-toed rubber boots, a hard hat, and fire-resistant (FR) coveralls. The company provides safety glasses and gloves. All required PPE must be worn as directed and in accordance with site safety requirements. Compensation This position offers hourly pay. The hourly rate and payment schedule will be discussed during the phone screening and confirmed before employment begins. Hiring Process Selected applicants will complete a phone screening covering driving experience, oilfield work, the schedule and living conditions, compensation, and the hiring process. Required documents will be reviewed before moving forward. We encourage applicants to ask questions so they understand the role before accepting it. How to Apply Email your application to teamztrans@gmail.com.
