Class 1 Truck Driver - Long Haul Car Carrier

Overview West Coast Car Carriers is growing and seeking experienced class 1 driver professionals. Join our dynamic team as a Class 1 Truck Driver specializing in enclosed vehicle transport services. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles across Canada, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Based out of the Fraser Valley, we specialize in hauling classics, sports, muscle and exotic cars. We also haul non-running project cars, trucks and SUVs. We transport within Canada and runs would include various locations from British Columbia to Eastern Canada. Duties - Safely drive and deliver vehicles in enclosed trailers to various destinations across Canada - Complete deliveries in a timely and safe manner - Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving - Provide excellent customer service during client interactions -Safely load and unload client vehicles and effectively secure vehicles to trailer for transport Experience Valid class 1 license required - 5 years minimum driving experience with a clean driving record - No criminal record - Proven experience driving in mountain conditions, including driving in snow and chaining up - Legal to work in Canada - Speak, read and write in clear English - Knowledge of billing of lading, logbooks, conducting pre-trips - Must be willing to do occasional long hauls which would include going as far as Nova Scotia - Must know how to operate passenger vehicles with a manual transmission In addition to the above requirements, we are seeking a professional who is a car enthusiast and has a true passion and knowledge of cars Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in a similar role. Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks equipped for long-distance vehicle transportation, including car carriers and heavy-duty transport vehicles Securely load, unload, and strap vehicles in enclosed trailer to ensure safe transit Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes, and vehicle maintenance logs Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen issues during transit Skills Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record Experience in long haul transportation, especially long-haul vehicle delivery Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for commercial trucking and vehicle transport Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively This role is perfect for motivated drivers eager to take on challenging routes while ensuring the safe delivery of high-value vehicles.
