Confidential** Immediate Opening - Full-Time Class 1 City Driver (Day / Night Shifts Available) ** We are actively seeking reliable and safety-oriented Class 1 Truck Drivers for local city routes in Calgary and surrounding areas. This is a local position—you will be home daily with consistent hours. Both Day Shift and Night Shift positions are available. New Class 1 drivers and experienced drivers are welcome to apply! -------------------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER & COMPENSATION -------------------------------------------------- * Pay Structure: - New / Entry-Level Drivers: $22.00 / hour during the initial 3-month probation period; increases to $24.00+ / hour upon successful completion of probation. - Experienced Drivers: Starting at $24.00 – $25.00 / hour (starting rate based on verifiable commercial experience and road evaluation). - Regular performance reviews and room for pay increases based on reliability, safety, and company performance incentives. * Overtime paid in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards. * Shifts Available: Flexible shift options (Day Shifts and Night Shifts available). * Work-Life Balance: 100% local driving — Home Every Day. -------------------------------------------------- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -------------------------------------------------- * Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units on designated local routes within Calgary and nearby areas. * Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) in compliance with safety standards. * Safely maneuver and back into loading docks, yards, and local customer facilities. * Ensure cargo is properly secured and verify delivery documentation/bills of lading. * Accurately maintain daily trip logs and Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) where applicable. * Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel to ensure on-time deliveries. -------------------------------------------------- REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS -------------------------------------------------- * Valid Alberta Class 1 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake (Q Endorsement). * Acceptable 5-year Commercial Driver’s Abstract (CDA). * Open to new Class 1 license holders who are safety-minded and eager to learn. Experienced drivers with 1–2+ years of city P&D or shunting experience will be given priority and higher starting wage. * Good safety habits, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. * Basic working English communication skills for customer contact, dispatch, and vehicle inspections. * Legally eligible to work in Canada (Citizens, PR, or Valid Open Work Permit). -------------------------------------------------- HOW TO APPLY -------------------------------------------------- We are looking to hire immediately.
