Duties Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport equipment and camp shacks Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Load and unload ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Maintain accurate documentation for all deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in top condition during trips. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to promote a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 license. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques. Basic automotive repair skills for minor troubleshooting on the road. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and freight transportation. Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and clients.
