hway run between the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland. This position offers consistent year-round miles, steady weekday hours, and weekends off.
The run consists of 5 round trips to the coast weekly, primarily pin-to-pin, with one scheduled morning delivery Tuesday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailer combinations between Armstrong/Spallumcheen and the Lower Mainland (5 round trips weekly).
• Perform pin-to-pin switches efficiently and complete one scheduled morning delivery Tuesday through Friday.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain clean and compliant trip documentation using electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Maintain proactive, timely communication with dispatch regarding arrival times, highway conditions, and safety concerns.
• Keep assigned tractor clean, orderly, and well maintained.
Equipment & Cab Policy
• Modern, well-maintained highway tractors and trailers.
• Strict Cab Standards: Must maintain a clean truck environment. This is a strictly non-smoking / non-vaping and pet-free (no dogs) cab.
Requirements
• Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s licence with a clean commercial abstract.
• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 commercial highway driving experience (mountain and winter driving experience required).
• Punctual, dependable, and capable of keeping a consistent weekday departure schedule.
• Strong safety mindset and professional attitude.
