Class 1 Driver - Heavy Haul

Economy Paving is now hiring an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to join our team! We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Class 1 Driver with heavy haul experience to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and construction materials to and from paving and construction sites. The successful candidate will ensure equipment and materials are transported safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining professional communication and high safety standards. Operate heavy haul trucks, tractor-trailers, and trailers safely and efficiently. Transport heavy equipment, machinery, aggregate, asphalt, and other construction materials to designated job sites. Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials in accordance with safety regulations. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Ensure loads comply with applicable weight limits, load securement requirements, and transportation regulations. Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery tickets, inspection reports, and other required documentation. Coordinate with dispatch, site supervisors, and equipment operators to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Keep equipment clean and report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly. Follow all company policies, transportation regulations, and jobsite safety procedures. Valid Class 1 driver's licence with a clean or acceptable driver's abstract. Proven experience in heavy hauling and transporting heavy equipment. Experience operating tractor-trailers and various trailer configurations. Strong backing, maneuvering, and jobsite driving skills. Knowledge of load securement, weight restrictions, and transportation safety requirements. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the paving or construction industry. Willingness to work extended hours, early mornings, weekends, and overtime when required. Ability to work outdoors and around active construction sites. Reliable personal transportation to and from work. Dependable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude.
