Class 1 Driver
CAC Enterprises Group Inc.CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.
Key Job Duties
· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
· Operate manual and automatic shifts
· Secure loads safely
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
· Minimum 3 years experience
· Valid Class 1 license
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
· Load securement certification
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)
· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation
· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
