Class 1 Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a safety-conscious Class 1 Driver to transport freight efficiently and reliably. The role involves operating commercial vehicles, completing pre- and post-trip checks, and handling freight in line with company procedures and road-safety requirements. This is a paid position. Benefits and work arrangements can be discussed during the hiring process. Duties Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle to transport freight along assigned routes. Secure, load, and unload freight, using a forklift when trained and authorized. Complete vehicle inspections and maintain accurate trip, delivery, and inspection records. Follow traffic laws, site rules, and safe operating procedures, including when working around heavy equipment. Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and colleagues about deliveries, delays, or vehicle concerns. Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance needs; basic automotive repair knowledge is an asset. Qualifications Valid Class 1 driver’s licence and a safe driving record. Experience in commercial driving and freight transport is preferred. Forklift experience or certification is an asset. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair is beneficial. Ability to secure freight, complete required documentation, and follow safety procedures. Dependable, organized, and able to communicate clearly while working independently. Pay: $24.91-$27.98 per hour Work Location: In person
